Viviana Bolívar

Viviana, as a trained psychologist, understands that communicating with others is key because learning a new language opens up a world of possibilities. "It helps us connect with more people on a global scale and fosters a sound understanding of other cultures."

My name is Viviana Bolívar and I am the founder and lead instructor of Spanish In Town. I am also a native speaker from Colombia, a trained psychologist, and a full-time instructor who makes a living teaching my beautiful language.  

Grammar, nuances, slang, and uncommon words: These are the things that captivated me as child and young adult.

I have enjoyed playing with words as long as I can remember. My father and I loved completing crosswords together. When we read the paper or watched the news, we made a game out of spotting media language mistakes. In time, I realized that my native Spanish is a rich and beautiful language. Since then it became my passion to share it with others.

Learning a language is not simple. It is a challenge that takes motivation, dedication, and perseverance. But it is a wonderful accomplishment to have the tools to express yourself in another language. It is possible and I would love to help you get there. ¡Vamos, inténtalo!
